ALLOY STEEL - FULL HARDENING STEELS
We provide a wide range of Full Hardening Steels to our clients, at market leading prices. These products are procured from reliable and trusted vendors of the market, who manufacture the range as per the set industry standards. Our range is available in flat and round shapes in varied specifications such as EN24, EN19, EN8, EN9 and EN31.
Full Hardening Steel (EN-24)
EN24 is a high quality, high tensile, alloy steel . Usually supplied readily machineable in ‘T’ condition, it combines high tensile strength, shock resistance, good ductility and resistance to wear. Hardening: Heat uniformly to 823/850°C until heated through. Quench in oil. Tempering: Heat uniformly and thoroughly at the selected tempering temperature, up to 660°C and hold at heat for two hours per inch of total thickness. Tempering between 250-375°C in not recommended as this can seriously reduce the steels impact value. Stress Relieving: Heat slowly to 650-670°C, soak well before cooling the EN24 tool in a furnace or in air. Sizes Available are in rounds, Squares and flats Applications : Highly stressed components of large cross section for aircraft, automotive & general enginery application such as propeller shafts, connecting rods, gear shafts, crane shafts & landing gear components, heavy forging, such as rotar shafts & discs.
Full Hardening Steel (EN-19)
EN19 is a high quality, high tensile alloy steel usually supplied readily machineable in ‘T’ condition, giving good ductility and shock resisting properties combined with resistance to wear. EN-19 is Suitable for highly stressed applications where greater strength is required. Hardening: Heat uniformly to 820/840°C until heated through. Quench in oil. Tempering: Heat uniformly and thoroughly at the selected tempering temperature, and hold at heat for one hour per inch of total thickness. We also have forged bars Diameter upto 400mm Applications: Axles , Rifle Barrels, Drive Shafts, Breech Mechanisms for Small Arms, Crankshafts, Induction Hardened Pins, Connecting Rods, High Tensile Bolts, Studs, Propeller Shaft Joints.
